Is 18k better than 14k?

No. 18k is 75% gold and reads warmer and softer; 14k is 58% gold and takes daily knocks better. For a ring worn every day, 14k is the practical choice. For earrings and pendants, 18k.

Does diamond clarity matter?

Under a carat, VS and VVS clarity grades look identical to the eye. Above VS2 you're paying for a line on a certificate, not something you can see. We spend the difference on cut instead.

Lab-grown or natural?

Chemically identical. Lab-grown costs far less and holds almost no resale value; natural costs more and holds some. Neither is a mistake — every listing states which one you're buying.

Platinum or white gold?

Platinum stays white for life but scratches (softly — the metal moves rather than wears away). White gold needs replating every few years to stay bright.

What fails first on a piece?

The clasp, then the prongs. Check both once a year — tightening is free for as long as you own it.

How should a tennis bracelet fit?

One finger of slack. Tighter wears the links against each other; looser and the clasp takes all the strain.

What ring size should I order?

Measure at the end of the day, at your widest knuckle, when your hands are warm. Resizing is free either way.
